SwingAlerts guide
The ways a SwingAlerts alert compares two numbers
Six comparisons that can stay true, and one event that happens once.
Is above
>The left side is greater than the right.
Is below
<The left side is less than the right.
Is at or above
≥Greater than, and touching the level counts.
Is at or below
≤Less than, and touching the level counts.
Is exactly
=Equal — and on a price, almost never what you want.
Prices carry more decimal places than they show, so an exact match will usually miss. Reach for "is at or above" and "is at or below" instead.
Is anything but
≠Not equal.
Crosses above / crosses below
Crosses aboveThe moment one line passes through another. Happens once, then it is over.
A crossing is an event, not a state. It is true on exactly one candle — the one where the two swapped places — so it can start an alert, but it can never be the thing that stays true for two hours. That is why the app offers it under "Trigger when" and nowhere else.
“I care about the turn, not the position.”
